Do I need a medial or lateral unloader brace?

Choose medial if the pain and wear are on the inner side of the knee, which is most common. Choose lateral if they are on the outer side; your X-ray report can tell you.

How do I size an unloader knee brace?

Use the size chart on the product page, since sizing differs by brace. Also check whether the brace is made for the left or right knee.

Are unloader braces covered by insurance?

We don't bill insurance, but you can submit your receipt to your insurer for possible reimbursement. Many unloaders carry HCPCS codes L1843 or L1851.
