Sizing Guide

  • With the elbow relaxed at about 90 degrees, use a soft tape measure along the outside of the arm from mid-upper arm (a few inches above the elbow crease) to mid-forearm (a few inches below the crease)
  • If the length is 13 inches to 17 inches, the brace will adjust to fit
  • Straps can be loosened for bandages or swelling.

Range of Motion Elbow Brace Fitting Video

Step-by-Step Fitting Your Stabilizing ROM Hinged Elbow Brace
Step 1
Unfasten the straps of the brace and hold the brace up to the arm with the range of motion hinge centered over the elbow joint.
Step 2
Press the buttons on the end of the cuffs and slide telescoping bars until they match the length of the upper arm and forearm.
Step 3
Bend the cuffs to securely wrap around the circumference of the arm. Start with the cuffs nearest to the elbow.
Step 4
Secure and fasten all straps, starting with the two straps closest to the elbow. If the straps are too long, trim them as needed. Once trimmed, the brace may not be returned, so ensure fit before trimming.
Step 5
To adjust ROM settings, press the flexion or extension button and rotate until the desired degree of flexion or extension is achieved. "O" locks the brace in full extension.
Step 6
Unfasten the Velcro on the strap closest to the wrist. Slide the D Ring into the strap and fasten the velcro. Clip the strap to the D Ring. Place the neck strap over the opposite shoulder of the injured arm. Slide the velcro tab end of the neck strap through the D Ring and resecure the Velcro to hold it in place. Adjust the strap to the desired length and use the clip to attach the free end of the neck strap to the brace.

    Most people go to a medical supply store and have one ordered or get a stock one. I opted for something customizable that I could obtain quickly. This brace impressed my surgeon and his PA with its adjustability and sturdiness. I had 18" muscular arms and 14" forearms. This fits extremely well and it is comfortable to wear for extended periods. No issues sleeping, driving, typing this, using a mouse, or with wrist freedom of movement. It is very light but (so far) durable, and the strap design allows for ZERO flapping or dangling straps. Right now, the middle two straps are around the gauze wrap on my upper and lower incisions, and there is no irritation - if it gets too tight, adjusting is accomplished in seconds.

    I have an ulnar nerve issue that is painful at almost any angle regardless of if I am awake or asleep. Compression with heat helps a lot while stationary, but once I start moving and flexing my arm, the pain restarts. I've got my elbow drained, but I am sure that I am headed for another ulnar relocation surgery. I've looked at several braces and this one worked as I wanted and expected. It's bulkier than sleeves but supports my whole arm to the point that I don't feel as much pain as without it. Any limitations are expected, but I'll trade that for less pain any day.
