Review Title: Better and less expensive!
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars (Excellent)
Reviewer Name: Michaelson E. (Verified Purchase)
Review Date: 2025-03-01
Customer Feedback:
I have spondylosis in my neck, and had used a similar unit at physical therapy from Saunders, that had uncomfortable hard rubber pads. The gel pads, on the Brace direct unit are much more comfortable, and after a one-minute heating in the microwave, they offered extra relief that is not available from the other guys! Also, the Brace Direct device is significantly lower priced than the Saunders!

Customer Feedback:
I had almost given up on neck traction devices until the Brace Direct traction unit. Easy to follow instructions and video tutorial if needed. I had to play with the angles a few times to find what felt best for me, but it works!

Review Title: Wish I'd gotten one sooner
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars (Excellent)

Customer Feedback:
I was a little nervous to use this cervical traction unit at home. I took it into my appointment to go over with my PT, since I needed that extra confidence boost. She was impressed with the quality of it, and walked me through how to use it at home. \nI've been going in for appointments on and off for years, and traction has always been useful for me (much needed relief!) The relief, even though temporary, boosts my mood and improves the quality of my day. \nUnfortunately, appointments are expensive and difficult to get. There are also a limited number of sessions I'm covered for. They recommended that I try at-home traction. I've tried the cheaper options (the door thing, the inflatable pillow thing, the foam pillow ones for the floor). Some are okay, some are not useful, and honestly, I wish I'd just ordered something like this years ago. \n+ Remember to START SMALL. Do not use it for too long, even if it feels good. (I did this with one of the cheaper devices - oof!) \n+ The gel pads are comfortable. I also think the instructions are sufficient. I appreciate there are video guides available, as well. \nTLDR: This has improved my daily life, and I'm grateful for the relief.

Review Title: The first neck traction product I've tried that actually works!
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars (Very Good)
Reviewer Name: Laura J. (Verified Purchase)
Review Date: 2024-11-28
Customer Feedback:
If you feel neck traction would be helpful for you, then I highly recommend this Brace Direct Cervical Traction Unit. While it has a higher price than the other neck traction devices I've ordered, this one actually does what it's supposed to and in a comfortable way. In the past, I've tried several different neck traction products. This product has changed that completely. It truly provides comfortable, easily adjustable neck traction. The pad that you rest your head on is comfortable and can be heated or cooled if you desire. You can adjust the arms that help to hold your head in place during traction and they are nicely padded and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Review Title: Pain is gone. Unbelievable.
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars (Excellent)
Reviewer Name: Archie (Verified Purchase)
Review Date: 2024-12-05
Customer Feedback:
After years of excruciating pain and trying, everything, this device changed my life and in such a short timeframe. \nFor quite a long time I have suffered from debilitating, chronic pain from pinched nerves. Several chiropractic visits, physical therapy, and exercises are all part of the equation. While each can help as part of an overall treatment depending on situation, for me, none were solutions on their own. When I am compressed, this device provides incredible relief in a very short time. I do not feel like I am hostage to this and have truly regained my life. \nOverall: Take it slow, it works. If this doesn't immediately work for you, don't be discouraged. It may take some time, several sessions, and corrections to help the body.

Review Title: Effective and Good Quality
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars (Very Good)
Reviewer Name: Carty G. (Verified Purchase)
Review Date: 2024-11-13
Customer Feedback:
This is a substantial item, heavy and well-made. The areas you rest your head and neck on are filled with gel and very comfortable. It comes with good instructions, and you can go online and watch videos on how to properly use this, but it is pretty intuitive. You start at the lowest height. There are knobs in the back that you pull out so that you can extend these two plastic pieces that make the angle of the ramp bigger. It is not as sturdy with those pieces out, but once your head is on it, it is fine. I was actually very surprised at how well this worked. I would say it is on par with a professional unit. I am a professional, so I am well equipped to compare. Its a medical item that is good quality and professional grade, so I understand the pricing, if you have to go to a professional for traction sessions, this will pay for itself in only a few sessions. It comes well packaged. This should be used with the advice of a professional. You could hurt yourself using it, so you have to be careful. Used correctly, this can really help alleviate neck pain.

Review Title: Extremely Useful For Reducing Upper Body Nerve Pain
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars (Excellent)
Reviewer Name: J. W. (Verified Purchase)
Review Date: 2024-11-24
Customer Feedback:
Both my wife and I have nerve pain issues in our upper back, shoulders and arms. Early on, I thought this aching pain was muscular in nature. I'd be rubbing it, getting my wife to massage it, using a heating pad, stretching, etc. None of these things offered relief. Then, while traveling abroad, I experienced severe pain in the back of my shoulder. It worsened over several days. It would go away at night only to return after about 15 minutes in the morning. I had an MRI done of my neck and thoracic spine. I had two herniated discs in a row in my neck. But, my neck felt fine. It didn't hurt nor was it stiff. But, the protruding disc was causing nerve compression and thus the pain. This slowly healed. But, it was "lesson learned". These occasional upper body aching pains were neurological in origin.\n\nAbsent an injury, things like standing, holding my head in an awkward position, etc. cause and exacerbate this. Lying down for an extended time takes the weight off and helps.\n\nI was sceptical this device would be of decent quality, or would help much, if at all. I was wrong on both counts. This is truly a professional quality device. It's metal, uses memory foam pads and is, well made through and through. It's very intuitive and easy to use. You just lie back, place your head in the cradle and adjust the pads. Then, you pump up the cylinder to give you the correct amount of neck extension traction pressure. The well written manual offers suggestions or you can consult your doctor.\n\nYou can use this as a preventive or treatment. After a very short time under tension it will alleviate nerve pain due to C-Spine nerve compression. This effect will be temporary. It can return once you are vertical. But, it gives you a relief option, With regular use it can help decompress the spine and reduce symptoms. It helps both me and my wife.\n\nThis device is a little expensive in terms of cash outlay. But, it's reasonably priced comparing it to similar devices and of much better quality. For us, it's well worth the price to get near immediate relief from nerve pain. I'd consult your doctor before use just to be sure you don't have any mechanical issues that traction might worsen. I have recommended this to several friends already. It easily deserves five stars.
