Sizes / Style

  • Choose size by foot length and confirm calf circumference.
  • Foot length (heel to toe): Small 6–8 inches; Medium 8–10 inches; Large 10–11 inches; X-Large 11–12 inches.
  • Maximum calf circumference: Small up to 15 inches; Medium up to 17 inches; Large up to 19 inches; X-Large up to 23 inches.
  • Available with smooth or fleece liner for comfort.

Sizing Guide

  • Measure foot length: While standing, measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe in inches.
  • Measure calf circumference: Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the calf while seated or standing.
  • Select size: Check your measurements against the size options. Choose the size where your foot length fits and your calf is at or below the maximum for that size. If one measurement borders two sizes, select the size that safely accommodates the calf and adjust straps for a snug fit.

How to Wear / Fit

  1. Put on a tall sock. Open all straps and, if included, loosen the hip rotation bar.
  2. Place your foot into the AFO, seating the heel fully back and aligning the ankle and calf with the uprights.
  3. Secure the foot/instep strap first, then the ankle and calf straps until snug—supportive but not tight.
  4. Set the progressive stretch by gently tensioning straps to bring the foot toward neutral. Increase tension gradually as tolerated.
  5. For models with a hip rotation bar, align it to manage internal/external rotation and tighten the knob or fastener.
  6. Stand and take a few steps for gait training. Recheck comfort, skin, and circulation after 10–15 minutes and readjust if needed.
